Kirio Branding
Kirio is an active energy management system that naturally adjusts your home to the way you live, making life more comfortable, effortless, safe, and efficient.
Keeping all these product attributes in mind, and taking inspiration from Japanese culture ('Kirio' comes from a Japanese word meaning 'crossroads') I worked with a team of writers and designers to develop a playful identity and website experience that strike a balance of sophistication and comfort, just like the product itself.
For the logo, we drew inspiration from the name (Kirio means ‘crossroads’ in Japanese), the circular shape of the product, and the spirit of Enso (Associated with freedom, enlightenment, and no-mind). In the end, we created a simple logo imbued with meaning, and visually representative of the protection of a home, Kirio’s ultimate reason for being.
Reflecting the adaptive nature of the Kirio product throughout, we created a brand system that allowed the client to adjust visuals as needed.
